Blasfomi
Blasfomi is a local hip-hop artist from Bellingham, Washington. He got his start in 2008 following the loss of his job, apartment and girlfriend.Having no where else to go, he was forced to move in with his loving and dear grandmother Jan Stover. Needless to say, this was a huge transition and the beginning of a tumultuous period in his life. It seemed hopeless, but then a siren came clamoring into his mind and thus the first song in a long line of music was born. “Purpose Without Being” ushered in the storm of creativity that was needed and spurred forth the new music that was clinging to the newly shattered man. Off the back of this song that later on was scrapped due to the quality of the lyrics, his debut album was born. A Marginal Artist is a 15 track rough album that has been described as flawed but passionate. Many of the songs such as “The Dance”,”Treasure Hunt” and “The Symphony” still echo in the minds of those who have seen this original and forward thinking musical juggernaut perform. Since the birth of this project Blasfomi has written thirty-seven groundbreaking songs challenging the idea of what hip-hop can be and raising the bar for generations of future singer/songwriters. Blasfomi Has now released the follow up album Concrete Wings and is giving it away for free in downtown bellingham just ask for it and he will give you a copy.Blasfomi has been reviewed in the Whats Up! publication and has played shows at the Three Trees Coffeehouse, Cobra Lounge, Plan B Saloon and The Anker Cafe.
